NFL Week 4 - Correction Week Part 2.

Updated: Jul 26, 2021

Week 4 of the NFL season had plenty of gamblers wishing they had picked different numbers. There were multiple games with odd scores like the Colts and Bears ending with a score of 19-11, the Saints and Lions ending with 35-29, and the Browns and Cowboys ending with 49-38. This week showed us who's good, who's bad, and who got found out. It also had the first game rescheduled due to a COVID-19 outbreak.

In the AFC, the Colts handed the Bears their first loss of the season and it was not pretty. Phillip Rivers vs. Nick Foles would've been a great matchup two to three years ago when they were both younger and in systems that they knew. Rivers is showing us that he should've retired last season as a charger going 16 for 29 attempts. 190 yards, and one touchdown. Foles was worse going 26 for 42 attempts, 249 yards with a touchdown and interception. Both teams moved to 3-1 so who's good, who's bad, and who got found out? The Colts are better than expected but not by much. Their only real challenge this season was the Bears and Jaguars and they got lucky that the Bears were in the middle of switching up their offense this week. As for the Bears, their defense is on a roll with being stingy in the redzone, but their offense could prove to be their Achilles' heel. I would vote them as good with reservations.

Who's good in the AFC:

- Kanas City Chiefs

- Buffalo Bills

- Baltimore Ravens

- Indianapolis Colts (still not convinced)

- Cleveland Browns (if they don't self-sabotage)

- Pittsburgh Steelers

Who's bad in the AFC?

- Cincinnati Bengals

- New York Jets

- Miami Dolphins

- Jacksonville Jaguars

- Houston Texans

- Denver Broncos

- Los Angeles Chargers

Who got found out in the AFC?

- New England Patriots

- Las Vegas Raiders

In the NFC, the worst games fans have to watch are ones with the NFC East. The Philadelphia Eagles are leading the division with a record of 1-2-1. That's sad. The Dallas Cowboys got found out by the Browns on Sunday and for everyone who says "they were in it the last four minutes", did you watch the game? The Browns dominated the Cowboys from the beginning and shot out to a fast lead leading 31-14 at halftime. The Cowboys were held to zero in the third quarter while the Browns jumped up to 41, so of course they let off the gas the in the fourth quarter. Prescott has been putting up numbers that every fantasy owner loves, but it's all garbage points. Garbage points might win you a fantasy game, but not NFL games. The Cowboys have had a plethora of injuries to their defense but to let up the last touchdown to Odell Beckham Jr. within the final minutes of the game? The defense made the one play they couldn't do. The Cowboys will remain the most overrated team in the NFL and they were found out this week.

Who's good in the NFC?

- Green Bay Packers

- Seattle Seahawks

- Tampa Bay Bucs

- Chicago Bears

Who's bad in the NFC?

- Detroit Lions

- Minnesota Vikings

- Carolina Panthers

- Washington Football Team

- Philadelphia Eagles

- San Francisco 49ers

- Atlanta Falcons

Who got found out in the NFC?

- Dallas Cowboys

- New Orleans Saints

- Arizona Cardinals

Now let's talk COVID-19. The Pittsburgh Steelers had to take an unexpected bye week because of the Tennessee Titans inability to follow protocols. I'm a Steelers fan of course. I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, but I'll be the first one to call them out if they're bad or if something is wrong. However, the Steelers are truly getting the short end of the stick. League Commissioner Roger Godell told all 32 teams this summer that if there was a COVID-19 outbreak on a team that they will not be treated with fairness due to how strict the scheduling is with football. As usual, that's not true. The league is catering to the Titans as if they did nothing wrong even though they held illegal practices outside of the facility when they should've been in quarantine. The photo evidence made it harder for the Titans to deny and now their week 5 game vs the Bills is in jeopardy. So what's fair? In order to not give any other rule-following team an advantage of disadvantage it is only fair to end the Titans season and give each team in the AFC two bye weeks. Other teams should not be punished by losing bye weeks, getting handed wins, or having to wait two to three weeks to start the playoffs. I don't care about them losing draft picks or being fined. Do you think they care? I'm sure the fanbase cares more about the picks then the actual team. Hit them where it hurts. Take away their season.
